10,000 miles across america on homemade fuel
feat. Scotty Fairno
In october 2025 we were contacted by automotive content creator, Scotty Fairno about an ambitious new project he had planned in the USA. Previously, scott’s output and online presence had only existed in short form social media content across tiktok, instagram and facebook and was looking to expand into long form content for youtube to match the level of his next maverick adventure.
The concept was simple enough, create enough homemade fuel to dive across america in a school bus, and then back again. without stopping for fuel once.
We flew to New York the following week and started capturing the establishing episode of the documentary. Telling the story of scott and dan, covering the extensive modifications to the bus and explaining the process of creating the fuel.
From there, all we could do for the next few weeks was roll cameras and capture everything we could to bring it back and tell the story of this mad, ambitious and somewhat life-changing adventure.
